FREQUENTLY ASK QUESTIONS

What is self-hypnosis versus sleep?

Although both Self-hypnosis and Sleep require total relaxation, Sleep is decreased concentration while Self-hypnosis is enhanced concentration. The definition for the sleep state is: Sleep is a diffused, generalized and unspecific state of mind.

Self-hypnosis is a raised state of Inner Awareness – using enhanced concentration to more aware of internal feelings and thought patterns, where memory, perception and inner understanding become sharpened. When you are in a Controlled Altered State Consciousness it is not like being asleep; it is similar to day-dreaming.

During your Self-hypnosis session, your physical body and conscious mind are in a normal relaxed state, while the subconscious mind remains awake and receptive to allowing you to view your past experiences, in preparation to move them into “information only” column, relegating them to the belief the past is the past.

How does the subconscious accept hypnotic suggestions?

Hypnotic suggestions bypass the intellectual mind, called the “conscious,” and zero in on the subconscious. When a subconscious mind is given a new suggestion, it must be given repeatedly until all your negative beliefs have been neutralized. Than the new suggestion becomes the primary energy behind the attainment of your current goals.

How does self-hypnosis help you?

The ability to reprogram emotional attitudes and reactions in the subconscious mind is the key to living the lifestyle you desire. Self-hypnosis is one of the most functional and easiest methods to reprogram life-long subconscious beliefs and attitudes, rather than suffer a lifetime of negative situations that the conscious mind is unable to change.

Can any person be hypnotized?

People of average intelligence (unless there is some form of organic brain damage, e.g epilepsy) can be hypnotized in most cases if they are willing and do not resist. The depth of Self-hypnosis varies with a person’s ability to relax. If you are a high energy, not able to relax personality – making you feel that you aren’t a naturally responsive subject, you can improve your receptivity to Self-hypnosis with practicing the Eye Roll Test.

EYE ROLL TEST

Practicing this Eye Roll Test will program your subconscious mind to go into a state of Self-hypnosis at will.

  1. Keep our head steady and looking straight ahead.
  2. With your eyes open, without moving your head, look toward your eyebrows, than higher towards the top of your head.
  3. With your eyes held in this upward position, slowly close your eyelids – breathing deeply and yawning with each breath.

Once your eyelids are closed repeat the following sentence: I now subconsciously believe that I now easily go into a state of self-hypnosis to accomplish my goal(s) subconsciously, consciously, spiritually and physically with speed, ease, comfort and joy.

How you “see” during your Self-Hypnosis Session

All of us “see” differently when we use our imagination, there is no right or wrong way. In my case when I close my eyes – I see only the color black when I imagine my goals, but I know exactly what the goal I want looks and feels like when I have accomplished it. I just don’t see it as a photograph or picture. I KNOW WHAT I KNOW.

SEEING EXERCISE

Close your eyes, using the words:

I am seeing a yellow rose – what do you see.  A blank screen or a yellow rose.

I am pretending I am seeing a yellow rose. A blank screen or a yellow rose.

I am imagining I am seeing a yellow rose. A blank screen or a yellow rose.

Remember knowing what you know is just a good as seeing, pretending or imagining. It is persistency that counts in being successful using Self-Hypnosis to accomplish your goals.

Is Self-hypnosis dangerous?

No. The induction of Self-hypnosis is never dangerous. Many times you will find the hypnotic state is so peaceful – you won’t want to return to consciousness. Once the Self-hypnosis session is finished – to awake yourself – either feeling refreshed or choosing to simply go to sleep, and sleep peacefully for several hours, waking up refreshed – will you instruct yourself to do so as the end of the Self-Hypnosis session.

Are the results of Self-hypnosis permanent?

Suggestions stay with some individuals indefinitely, others need reinforcement. The effects of Self-hypnosis are cumulative. The more self-hypnotic sessions you do that include reprogramming your subconscious mind, post-hypnotic suggestions, and conscious reinforcement of the goal, the more permanent the results become.

How You Got to be You!

From the moment of your conception until approximately 8 years of age – the primary and secondary authority figures in your life, were the source of all information you accepted as your subconscious reality. As a child you accepted *un-critical truth about yourself that formed your primary subconscious beliefs – concerning any subject you were exposed to – (if my authority figure says it’s true about me – it must be true). Your constant exposure to those authorities figure’s feelings, emotions, words, and actions “set your subconscious beliefs in stone” until you decide to change them. It is this Primary Subconscious Programming – that always generates the first thought that comes to your mind – with your current beliefs following – creating your emotional and physical response to all circumstances presented, to you – positively or negatively.

HOW THE SUBCONSCIOUS MIND FORMS YOUR PHYSICAL REACTIONS

When the subconscious mind is presented with a situation it actives your primary subconscious beliefs, as well as your secondary subconscious beliefs you have created during your life. Of course, each belief is always putting its two cents in. If you are subconsciously and consciously congruent, you move forward conflict-free. If not – you have to fight yourself every step of the way.

Thought process when congruent Thought process when non-congruent
1.  Acceptance Refusal
2.  Enjoyment Anger and Rage
3.  Knows what it can do Bargaining
4.  Positive emotions Guilt
5.  Has subconscious energy Despair
6.  Asks for help Isolation
7.  Makes a plan Procrastinates
8.  Moves forward Fear of Moving Forward
9.  Wins Loses

You go through each of these emotions or fears within seconds; you make the decision that starts the physical actions that your subconscious beliefs believe you should.

FACT: Every situation that happens in your life good, bad, big or little, starting, stopping, or ending, you through the Stages of Processing Life’s Experience. When a new situation is presented to you – whether taking you out or leaving you in your comfort zone, you automatically start the process with Stage #1. There is no subconscious mind deviation.

FUNCTIONS OF THE MIND – We have 3 very separate and distinct parts of us called mind and they do different things. Each has its own responsibility for different things within us.

First we have the conscious mind, where we are right now. Below the conscious mind’s level of awareness we have the subconscious mind and yet there is a deeper part of our mind called the unconscious mind (The unconscious mind works with your automatic body functions like your heart beating, or eyes blinking. We don’t have to worry about that part of our mind; it takes care of its self).

The conscious mind has 4 different functions.

  • Analytical mind. That is the part of us that looks at a problem, analyzing it – than finding a way to solve the problem. If you have a flat tire, what do you do? Bring out the jack and all that stuff. It is the part of us that we think are automatic, but really aren’t – like should I open the door or turn the water on. We really have to make decisions to do that or not do it.
  • Rational part of the conscious mind is the part of us that starts to get us in a little trouble some times. This is the part of us that must give us a reason why we behave like we do. You see if we don’t have a reason for why we do the things we do, we become anxious, nervous, frustrated and if this goes on long enough it can lead to serious mental illness. Mental Hospitals for example are full of people who do things and they don’t know why they do them. Their problem is the rational part of their conscious mind has broken down.
  • Will power. Now you are familiar with will power. You say, “I am going to do something and nothing in this world will stop me from accomplishing my goal.” You know how long that lasted – whatever you were going to change – didn’t happen – stop smoking, loss weight or accomplish your goal. You were OK until your willpower weakened and than the old habit patterns come back.
  • Working memory. That is the memory we need every single day; It helps us find our way to work, what is my husband or wife’s name, what are my children’s names, my phone number, and things like that. It is just the memory, we need to get through an average day. I want you to think of this part of your mind as if; you have seen the show Star Trek with a fellow named Spock who is analytical and logical. The working memory is kind of our Spoke Mind.

GOOD NEWS: Understanding that your emotional and physical responses were firmly established in your subconscious belief base, by the authority figures in your life from the time you were conceived to around 8 years of age, should give you a clue about why you are reacting to your present situation like you are

It is their (authority figure’s) subconscious beliefs that are directly your basic conscious feelings and thoughts on the situation. Changing those established subconscious beliefs, move you forward with speed, ease, comfort, and joy.

THE BOTTOM LINE: Your primary goal, in life, is to make the past, informational only – not letting it motivate you into negative actions, being depressed about what could have been, or stopping you from developing new situations in your life.

The subconscious mind is a servomechanism – whose beliefs you serve until you give it the subconscious beliefs that you want it to be about any situation.

THE WORKINGS OF THE SUBCONSCIOUS MIND

Where we all live is below the conscious mind (Called the subconscious mind). Now the subconscious is awesomely powerful. It can make you into anything you would like to be, rich and famous, happy or sad. The subconscious mind is the real us and its language is the imagination.

But the Subconscious mind operates just like a computer you buy in a store, for example if you buy a computer, put it on your desk and ask it a question it won’t answer you because it doesn’t have programming yet. A computer can only operate on the programming that is placed into it – the computer has no choice of its own. You know if you change the programming in a computer erasing the old programming it can’t operate the old programs. It now must use the new program you have put in it. Our subconscious mind works just like that computer.

We program our computer every day by our life’s experiences. We call this creating points of reference that your subconscious mind works from.

Now the primary rule of this computer is it must make us into the type of person it perceives us to be, based on all the programming that has been placed into it and will continue to be placed into it, until the day we die.

What’s some of the operational software of this internal computer? Well it has all our memory, every bit of it since the day we were born. We think of things that have happened in the past as either forgotten or retained in the form of memory.

The subconscious mind is like a video camera; but it has the additional capabilities of taste and smell. Everything that has ever happened to you, heard, seen, smelled, tasted is locked permanently into your subconscious mind’s memory bank.

UNDERSTANDING HOW THE SUBCONSCIOUS MIND CREATES YOUR

“INNER-SELF TALKER”.

Your Subconscious Mind represents 90% of your thought patterns.

Your Conscious Mind represents 10% of your thought patterns.

When you view this as a mathematical problem – the Subconscious Mind is 90%, versus the Conscious Mind 10%, there is no question as to which part of the mind will win the battle of the minds

Example: Think about a goal you wanted to accomplish and didn’t. you started out with great enthusiasm, then you begin experiencing the Subconscious emotional responses – which prompted you to be either a loser or a winner.

The reason is the Subconscious Mind (90%) is sending its PRIMARY SUBCONSCIOUS BELIEFS on the matter to the Conscious Mind (10%) becomes overwhelmed – responding emotionally and physically – to the “Inner Self-Talker” negative instructions. By the time you realize that you are back to your old behavior pattern – you usually just give up, chastising yourself for failing again.

YOU ARE YOUR MAGIC WAND – OR IT IS ALL UP TO YOU.

Before you start you ASIST MOTIVATIONAL SELF-HYPNOSIS SESSION you must give yourself permission to relax. Without your personal permission, totally participating in the relaxation induction you won’t get anywhere. When you are in the altered state of consciousness required to by-pass your critical mind, you begin to reprogram your subconscious mind. It then writes a new script for your “Inner-Self Talker” to tell you.

The primary goal of the A.S.I.S.T. MOTIVATIONAL SELF-HYPNOSIS Course is to help you establish the subconscious belief – that the past is for information purposes only – not to motivate you into the old behavior patterns. As well as, accept your new goals.

Once this is accomplished the Subconscious Mind receives and responds EASILY to the instructions you give it during your Self-Hypnosis Sessions. Rather than the Conscious Mind receiving and responding to instructions from the Subconscious Mind’s “Inner Self-Talker”. Once the reversal of roles becomes natural, you will consciously send your requests to your subconscious mind instructing it to act on those instructions, now. This activates the necessary realistic emotions and physical actions needed to accomplish the goal presented to it by you.

With the creation of your new subconscious beliefs, you begin to assess your current situations from a more secure point of view. Once you are consciously and subconsciously congruent these realistic conscious choices become a natural part of your thought patterns and actions. Also, with this awareness you begin to make the realistic conscious choices necessary to emotionally, physically, and spiritually accomplish your current and long-term goals.

As the Subconscious Mind (which is a servo mechanism) –accepts from you your conscious thoughts, emotions, and desires, as its primary authority figure, your Subconscious Mind’s Inner-Self Talker begins sending you the right messages – “come on we can do it now”.  I support you and your goals are attained, maintained, and expanded with speed, ease, comfort, and joy.

PRESENTING CURRENT GOALS TO YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS MIND

You must also create the following subconscious belief: I now truly believe I can now do subconsciously, consciously, physically and spiritually attain, maintain and expand my goals with speed, ease, comfort and joy. This is the basis for being successful with everything that you present to your subconscious mind.

After I have presented the above belief to myself during the session, I simply repeat my positive suggestions and the present to myself the goal,, in my case, in the form of        “I know what I know about what I want”.

Or if I am starting a new goal – I write the goal down 7 times and read it several times before I start my self-hypnosis session. After I have hypnotized myself, I then present the above belief to myself, than I remember the description of my goal I have just read over and over.

During your self-hypnosis session visualize the goal completed, AS NOW DONE. Once your Subconscious Mind accepts your New instructions, it forms and re-enforces the subconscious belief needed to accomplish the goal. The Fake It Till You Make It principle is used here – presenting to your subconscious mind the positive feelings and emotions connected with accomplishing the goal.

THE ASIST SELF-HYPNOSIS – INDUCTION

  1. Select a time when you won’t be disturbed.
  2. Sitting in an upright comfortable position.
  3. With your Eyes Open – move your eyes as far right as is comfortable. Breathing deeply, yawning, and slowly exhaling.
  4. Now move your eyes down slowly to the floor, continuing to breathe deeply, yawning and exhaling slowly.
  5. Next move your eyes across the floor continuing to breathe deeply, yawning and exhaling slowly.
  6. Now move your eyes upward toward the ceiling as it you are looking out the top of your head, continuing to breathe deeply, yawning and exhaling slowly.
  7. Keeping your eyes looking upward, slowly close your eyelids continuing to breathe deeply, yawning and exhaling slowly.
  8. Keeping your eyes closed, let them relax and continue to breathe deeply, yawning and exhaling slowly.
  9. Now let your body float right down through the chair – giving yourself the suggestion that you are floating deeper and deeper, down, down, do

THE ASIST SELF-HYPNOSIS – NOW RAPID INDUCTION                                 and Presenting your goals to your subconscious mind

  1. With your eyes open, roll your eyes up toward the top of your head. Imagining from this position you are seeing out of the top of your head.
  2. With your eyes still open, rolled upward, SLOWLY close your eyes, and at the same time take a very deep breath and yawn.
  3. Now slowly exhale, relaxing the muscles around your eyes, imagining this relaxation moving up to the top of your head and then move it quickly down to the tips of your toes – breathing deeply and yawning as you are sending your relaxing feelings down your body.
  4. Now present your goals to yourself – until you begin to feel them as part of you.
  5. Once you have presented your goals to yourself – if there is any negative feelings about accomplishing them – imagine you put them in a garbage can outside yourself.
  6. Then represent the goals to yourself – holding them until you feel them part of you

COMING BACK TO CONSCIOUSNESS

After you have completed your self-hypnosis session – you must count yourself out or up, saying to yourself:

Number 3.  I now awake, feeling refreshed, new, and delighted to be alive.

Number 2.  My body normalizes, my glands are in harmony and my body chemistry is balanced.

Number 1. I now open my eyes – secure in y ability to attain, maintain, and expand my goals with speed, ease, comfort, and joy.

SWISH METHOD

  1. Close your eyes and allow yourself to become gently relaxed.
  2. Seen a screen in your mind as if you are at the cinema. Now see on the screen an image of the way YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE. It could be a picture of you looking very unhealthy with a cigarette in your hand. It could also feature those you love in the background, looking concerned. Whatever picture you decide on. Make it as unpleasant as can be. Experience the feelings that come with looking at that image.
  3. Now wipe this “negative” image away from the screen. Once you have done that. See on the screen an image of the way YOU DON’T WANT TO BE. It could be a picture of you looking very unhealthy with a cigarette in your hand. It could be also feature those you love in the background, looking concerned. Whatever picture you decide on. Make it as unpleasant as can be. Experience the feelings that come with looking at that image.
  4. Now see the “negative” picture big and bright on the screen. Put a small, dark image of the “positive” picture in the lower right-hand corner of your picture.
  5. As fast as you say the word “swish”. Allow the small, dark positive image to grow big and bright, covering the negative image so that it becomes dim and shrinks away completely.
  6. Once this “swish” has been completed, blank the screen or, alternatively, open your eyes.
  7. “Swish” the images in the way described about 5 times. Each time see if you can do it a bit quicker. Be sure to bland the screen or open your eyes at the end of each “swish”.
  8. Before completing this exercise, imagine once more the “negative” image in your mind. If the swish has been effective this image should be hard to get, or at least less clear in your mind that it was before you did this technique. Notice how easily and clearly you can bring the positive image into your mind. This positive image can be the predominant image in your mind.
  9. If you have not obtained the desired result, do the “swish” again. Figure out how you can make the imagery more appropriate or what else you can do to make it benefit you.

REMEMBER BE CREATIVE!

THE ASIST SELF-HYPNOSIS – NOW RAPID INDUCTION                              and subconscious exploration process.

  1. With your eyes open, roll your eyes up toward the top of your head. Imagining from this positive you are seeing out of the top of your head.
  2. With your eyes still open, rolled upward, SLOWLY close your eyes, and at the same time take a very deep breath and yawn.
  3. Now slowly exhale, relaxing the muscles around your eyes, imagining this relaxation moving up to the top of your head and then move it quickly down to the tip of your toes – breathing deeply and yawning as you are sending your relaxing feelings down your body.
  4. Now open your eyes (you will stay in a state of waking hypnosis) and begin to write out the goal you want to accomplish. As you are writing – you will begin to experience or sense all the reasons you can accomplish the goal.
  5. Write down all of the reasons you are feeling why you can’t accomplish the goal.
  6. Now close your eyes and begin to systematically put the negatives in the garbage area outside yourself – replacing each one with your goal being accomplished.
  7. Count yourself out:

Number 3. I now awake, feeling refreshed, new and delighted to be alive.

Number 2. My body normalizes, my glands are in harmony and my body chemistry is balanced.

Number 1.  I now open my eyes – secure in my ability to attain, maintain and expand my goals with speed, ease, comfort, and joy

AUTOMATIC WRITING PROCESS

  1. Write your question in the main cycle concentrating on the questions as you are writing
  2. Suggest to yourself mentally, that your mind and body feel relaxed.
  3. Write your thought and feelings that begin to flow into Circle #2
  4. More thoughts and feelings will come to you from what you have written in Circle #2
  5. Write those thoughts and feelings in Circle #3
  6. Continue this process, making more circles, writing down your thoughts and feelings until your energy is exhausted.
  7. Once you have exhausted one train or thread of thoughts and feelings, read the questions again as more thoughts and feelings start to flow – begin a new set of circles
  8. Continue step 3 through 7

Once you have exhausted the exploration of every subconscious belief connected to your main question you have written in all of the circles. Now write a small paragraph from your thoughts and feelings.

You will give the thoughts and feelings you have just written to Heart Power

TEMPORAL TAPPING

What is Temporal Tapping?

This is a process that works with energy. When you can’t find out why you are in pain, sick or lost your enthusiasm for life. You can bet there is a break in the energy that runs through midirons. Some have said this is an alternative to accupupture.

The Process

Start by thinking about are you in physically or mental pain. You have a pain in your shoulder or you are stressed out.

You must decide and then say to yourself why tapping on the energy points- Even though I am under stress from ___________I totally and complete myself with speed, ease, comfort & Joy.

While tapping on your energy points – Even though my left arm is in Pain I totally and complete myself with speed, ease, comfort & Joy.

While tapping on your energy points – Even though I am overeating. I totally and complete myself with speed, ease, comfort & Joy.

You can tap on anything that is bothering you.

The Tapping Energy Points.

  1. Top of head. 10 Times.
  2. At the beginning of your eye brews, both sides. Ten Times.
  3. Side of the eye –both sides. Ten Times.
  4. Under Your Nose. Ten Times.
  5. Under your bottom lip. Above your chin Ten Times.
  6. Collar bone- both sides. Ten Times.
  7. Under either arm. Women in middle of bra, men across from your nipple. Ten Times
  8. Karate Chop- side of fleshy part of the hand. Ten Times.
  9. Check for sore spots- if they are there; ask yourself mentally, what is going on. Make the appropriate sentence and tap.

Using this tapping with self hypnosis is simple. When you are setting rolling your eyes up, beginning to hypnotize yourself start tapping (keeping your eyes closed until you have finished the process).
